Download Materials for SketchUp: Enhance Your 3D Models with Realistic Textures

Some examples are flooring textures, roof textures, granite textures, tile textures, shingle textures, stone textures, wood textures, brick textures, carpet textures, concrete textures, flooring materials, stone materials, wood materials, laminate materials etc.

This is my new favorite material site. All the materials are parametric and they are perfectly seamless because they are generated procedurally through the web app. There are plenty of free materials available for you to customize to your own liking, but there is a pro membership available as well. bump maps and hatches are included as well.

I have installed SketchUp version 18 on a new laptop. When using Sketchup the Materials and Styles are not available. If I import an existing file the materials on the existing file show up in the Materials box in the Default tray but no other materials are available and they disappear when I close the existing file. Also there are no style options available on the Default tray. I have tried refresh and list view but still nothing.

This sounds typical of incorrect installation. Repair the installation. Close SketchUp. Find the downloaded installer (Downloads folder?) and right click on the installer. Choose Run as administrator and then, when the options present, click on Repair.

One oddity I noticed is that many models are claimed to have a certain non-zero number of materials but when you click the link the material panel is empty, and keeps being empty, as if it loads infinitely slowly. Maybe this is because the models only have solid colors and this feature only shows textured materials? Perhaps solid colors could be made downloadable too to avoid confusion and to have the number shown in the statistics actually match what you get when clicking it?

To install manually, download the latest version of the extension via the Extension Warehouse. Once the file has downloaded, launch the extension manager by selecting Window > Extension Manager from the menu bar. Click Install Extension and select the downloaded file from the file browser window.

Architextures (ARTX), is a library of high quality seamless textures for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. All textures on the site are procedural meaning the dimensions, patterns, colours and more can be edited using Architextures Create, our custom-built web app for creating seamless textures. All textures can be downloaded free of charge for educational and personal use. Textures can be used in commercial work by users with a Pro subscription subject to the Terms of Use. By using the Architextures website you agree to the comply with these Terms of Use. Architextures uses cookies for core functions and analytics. By using the website you agree to the use these cookies. Further details about how we use cookies can be found here.

The site aesthetic is clean and well-ordered, and you can download the textures and all maps without having to register an account. The filtering function is especially handy, allowing you to filter texture results based on color and resolution. Below you can see how realistic this textured wall surface looks once uploaded into Enscape.

Among the standard wood, metal, and stone textures, it has an interesting and large collection of paper and cardboard materials available. The site also features scratch marks, which you can add to your materials to simulate realistic surface damage, and a selection of HDRI skyboxes.

One additional site that our users are using is the SketchUp Texture Club - a non-profit organization managed by Image Promotion Association. You can download 15 low and medium-resolution textures per day, but if you want to access up to 50 high-res textures per day, then you need to become a Club Member for a very small fee per year (currently just 14 USD).

There are two ways to use materials from the online database in SketchUp/SkIndigo: loading directly into SketchUp, and externally linking to downloaded materials. We'll cover both options in sequence, starting with the simpler direct import method.

If we choose a material and double click it, SkIndigo will ask if you'd like to load it into the currently selected material; click "Yes", otherwise it will want to save the downloaded material to disk.

Click the ".." button next to the "IGM" field, and select a downloaded IGM or PIGM file. This will link the downloaded material to the SketchUp material so that when Indigo renders the scene, it will use the linked material.

We need you! This site wouldn't be such a great vray material resource without the help of our community! People from around the world put there knowledge and love into their materials and uploaded them to our site to help and inspire others.

  • If you want to contribute to this site too just follow these simple steps: Download our Sample scene for Vray and 3DSMax here vray-material.de sample scene

  • Load the scene and apply your material to the sample object.

  • Adjust the material if necessary (for lighting and stuff)

  • Render the image with the preset settings.

  • Save your render with a suitable name that represents your material (e.g. dark grey concrete, fine red leather, brushed steel)

  • Save your material as a single library, give it the same name

  • OR save the max file using the same name

Send everything including all texture files, the sample render image and either the max-file or the .mat library file to this email address: support@vray-materials.de

Important: Please be 100% sure that you own the rights on the created material and texture files. We must not publish textures or data that is protected by copyright. By submitting your material to us you agree that it is free to use, private and commercially for everyone. We will never sell or further distribute your creations except via download on our website. Thank you for supporting our free material resource! Enjoy what other users have already created for you.

Welcome to Free PBR where you can download 100% free PBR materials and texture files. My free PBR, or Physically-Based Rendering materials offer the metalness / roughness as well as the metallic / smoothness workflows. These 2K texture maps can be used in Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender and many other 3D, Game Design, and CAD solutions.

This simple video tutorial will show how the material cubes work and how easy it is to get high quality render ready materials into your model. This video is based on Podium Browser 1 which is an older interface. However the Podium Materials work the same way in the current version.

Arroway has made about 100 lo-res versions of their texture available to IRender nXt users and wehave converted these into .Armaterial materials in the IRender nXt Libraries. Arroway is providing these sample textures in the hopes that you will like them well enough to purchase the hi-res versions.

The Enscape Material Library comes with a selection of pre-made PBR materials that you can import in to the Enscape Material Editor and then use as they are or you can choose to edit them further to create rich materials for your projects.

Furthermore, you can Favorite materials by clicking on the star buttons in at the top left corner of the tiles. These are then shown in the Favorites folder. Just click on the star again so it is not solid to remove materials from the Favorites folder.

Current materials in the CAD model, can be replaced with ready to use materials from the library. This can be performed from the material editor. This is illustrated in corresponding the Materials in CAD article for your CAD and can be found here.

Materials that would take you hours to create by hand have been scanned to perfection. Enjoy over 2500 pre-made materials that fit perfectly in your V-Ray and Corona workflow with a simple drag and drop.

If you are working with tight deadlines and need to create many complex 3D materials for automotive, product design or fashion projects then the Chaos Scans service is the perfect match for you. We scan your physical material samples to create a highly accurate, ultra-photorealistic digital material for use in 3D projects.

Perhaps the most long-awaited feature is the online material library. In the Library tab, now you can find 1500+ PBR materials of plastics, woods, cloths, leathers, metals, paints, etc. A small part of the materials is built-in in the Light Tracer installation (about 150 materials). The rest are downloaded on demand from the great resource. Everything that you'll find in the Library is covered by a CC0 Creative Commons license. That means you may use them in any way and in any context with no royalties or attribution required. Of course you stil can make a PBR material manually in the Properties tab. Read more about materials in this tutorial.

The materials are arranged in categories that can be collapsed for a more convenient exploration. Light Tracer Render has simple material search capabilities. The first option is using the tags popup, where you can quickly select a category of interest (for example, "Built-in" to display materials included in the installation, "Downloaded" to show already loaded materials, and "AmbientCG" to display assets from ). Also, you can enter custom queries in the search bar. For example, to search for gold presets, you can enter "gold", "go", "metal gold", or "me go":

When you click on a downloadable material, the Light Tracer will prompt you to select a specific asset that you want to download. As a rule, materials are available in JPG or PNG formats and resolutions from 1K (1024x1024 pixels) to 8K (8192x8192 pixels). Please note that asset size affects not only the downloading time but also the rendering performance. The higher the texture resolution, the more GPU memory is used, and the lower the performance:
